Brother Sergio is a missionary belonging to the Congregation of the Marist Brothers in Italy. In the year 2000, he left Italy to go to Tanzania to deploy his skills and knowledge in education and agriculture (and also in plumbing and craftsmanship,..) to help and support the people of Masonga Village in improving the use of local resources.
One of the most significant technology solutions developed by Brother Sergio are the low cost
windmills
(built with the material and the technology available in Tanzania) used to pump water from Lake Victoria for irrigation.
